sd County of Middx Esqr : being Sworne & Examined upon her
Oath Sayeth That yesterday between the houres of 5 and 6 in
ye: Evening She went down into the Kitchin of ye: sd: Richard
Hosier
< no role > and there Saw one Katherine France als Kirby as She
Called herSelf who told this Depont: yr: She came to help mary
to a place and this Depont: asked her Whether it was a good:
place and ye: sd: Katherine France als Kirby told her yr: it was
a verry Good one as times Went now, for She had Lived there her
self five Years as a Nurssery Maid and and that it was at one Mr
Johnsons in Bartlett Buildings , And after ye: sd: Katherine
France had stay'd there about halfe an hour She went away
and came back againe in about halfe a quarter of an hour &
[..] this Depont: that She had Dropt her Hankercheife but
not finding it She went away and about [..] two houres
after a Silver Salt a Linen Apron & A peice of Linen Cloth was
Missing wch: the sd Katherine France< no role > als Kirby< no role > was Suspected
to have Stolen and A Warrant having been obtained to apprhend
her She was Taken at her Lodging in Leather Lane in ye: said
parish of St: Andrew Holborn , and being apprehended and
then asked what Induced her to Committ ye: sd: Robbery She
answered if she did do it It was for her Childs sake but Rather
then she would goe before a Justice She would make them any Satisfaction
