The Examinacon [..] William Connock< no role >
taken before us two of his Maties: Justices of ye
peace for the said County the 28th day of
January [..] Dui 1694 and in the Sixth
[..] of his Maties: [..] tenth the death and
felonious Killing of Thomas Cheney< no role > ye
22th instant.

This Examinant saith that he being in company
with the decd (and haveing lain with him the
night before) on Munday the one & twentieth
instant dined at the Pauls Heale at Drs:
Commons and come to the Romer Taverne in
Essex Street and there Cheney proposed to send
for women to Mrs Howards Coffee house
in Milford lane & two accordingly were
sent for vizt Mrs Howard & Mrs Lucas &
saith that this examinant ye said Cheney
& one Mrs Isaacson & one of the women stayed
till about three of the clock on Tuesday
morning & there happened Some controversy
about some action in Slanders which the
Dene took ill & would have quarrelled & this [..] Exaistnt. did excuse himselfe
of it & went another way to avoid him
to ye said Mrs Howards house to which
place ye. said Cheney followed him where
he found this Examts: & the said Mr Isaacson
& Mrs Lucas & there ye said Cheney spit in
this Examts: fare calling him rouge & rascoll
reward & other ill language but Mr
Isaacson passi [..] ed them and [..] t they [..]
went out of the Coffee house before deid & was
