Upon reading the humble peticon of Edward Clarke< no role > of Hendon in this County
Victualler exhited unto this Court Setting forth that he Stands suppressed from
selling [..] & Ale in his house att Hendon aforesaid by order of Sessions held in
October last for that the kept an ill governed & disorderly house and that
he hopes to make itt appear to this Court the said order was obtained by surprize &
that noe disorders were comitted in his house and that his house was [..]
is more fitting for the entertainment & accomodacon of Travellers [..]
any other in the said Parish the Peticonr thereby praying that this
Court would appoint a day to examine into the truth of the said matter
& that the said Order for his suppression might be discharged Itt is
thought fitt & ordered by this Court that the Peticonr be heard touching
the said Order the second day of the next genall Sessions of the peace
to be held for this County att Hick'shall in St Johnstreet in the said
County att term of the Clock in the forenoon And that John Blott< no role >
Gentl one of the High Constables of the Hundred of Gore in this
County (who attended this Court to have the said Order for suppress
of the Peticonr licence continued) upon notice of this our order doe
attend their Maties Justices of the peace for this Couty at the
time & place aforesaid to shew cause why the said Order should
not be discharged
