January 1800.

do adjourn the further Consideration thereof until
Friday the 7th.. day of February next but in Consequence
of the Suggestions and Information given by several
respectable Bakers attending, This Court think it a
Duty earnestly to recommend that Bread should
be kept at least 24. Hours after the Baking before it
be used as it appears a very Considerable saving of
Consumption in this material Article will be made
thereby and also further to recommend to the
Serious attention of Individuals as well as Public
bodies to exert themselves as much as possible in
preventing the use of Flower in Pastry and to
take every other method which may present itself
to reduce the Consumption of Wheaten Flour

Resolved Unanimously That the thanks
of this Court be given to William Mainwaring< no role >
Esquire the Chairman of the Session for his able
and judicious Conduct in this Business.

By adjournment same Day

The following Proposals for furnishing Butchers
Meat for the Prisoners in the House of Correction
being Read Vizt..

"Samuel Skinner< no role > @ 4. Pr; lb.
"James Tilbey< no role > @ 4¼. Pr; lb.
"Philip Thampson< no role > @ 4½ Pr; lb.
"Paul Giblet and Co@ 5 Pr.. lb.

And the said several Parties being called
in and the Court having heard what they had
further to say respecting the same and the Proposal
of the said Samuel Skinner< no role > being approved It
was Moved and Seconded that the Court do Agree
with Mr.. Skinner at the above price and the
Question being put and carried Unanimously in
the Affirmative, It was Resolved That upon the said
Samuel Skinner< no role > finding Security he be Contracted with
