May Session 1790.

likewise pay and discharge all Expences attending the said Office of
Keeper of Newgate Clerk of the Papers and all other Expences as usually
discharged by the late Mr Bold in consideration whereof he shall be
allowed the Sum of £150 as a Salary for One year commencing the
28th. day of September 1778 without accounting for any Fees or other
Profits by Rents or otherwise as are now allowed to be taken by him
agreeable to the above Table of Fees or Profits by Rents or otherwise
as allowed to be taken by the late Mr Bold and accounted for to the
City All which we submit to this Honourable Court the 8th. day

Mr. Akerman from the time of his said Appointment
received the Sum of 14s..10d. of the Contractors for the Transportation of
every Person Convicted at the several Sessions of Oyer and Terminer and
the Delivery of the Gaol of Newgate holden for the City of London and at
the several Sessions of the Delivery of the Gaol of Newgate holden for the
County of Middlesex and at the several Sessions of the Peace holden for
the said County and also at the several Sessions of the Peace holden for
the City and Liberty of Westminster in the said County and ordered by
the Courts at the said several Sessions to be Transported as a Fee due to
him as such Keeper and which Fee had been usually paid to him for
the Transportation of every Person so Convicted over and above the
Charges of conveying such Persons from the said Gaol on board the Strip
in which they were to be so Transported.
