"Resolved that it be referred to the said Committee to consider how much
"more money it will be necessary to raise for the purpose of compleating the said
"Building and also to consider of the manner in which it will be most to the
"advantage of the County to raise the same". Your Committee are of
"Opinion that it will be necessary to raise the further Sum of Twenty Thousand
"Pounds at least for the purpose of carrying on the said Building and that it
"will be most to the advantage of the County to raise the same by Tontine at
"4 PCent to be paid Quarterly by even and equal Quarterly Payments and it
"appearing to Your Committee that if the Building is carried on with all possible
"dispatch the Sum of Twenty eight Thousand Pounds will be necessarily wanted
"at Michaelmas 1790 to defray the expence of the same and that as the Sum of
"Eighteen Thousand Pounds will only be paid to the Treasurer by that time in
"further part of the Thirty Thousand Pounds already agreed to be raised
"Your Committee Recommend it to the Court to make the Proposal in
"such way as that the Sum of Ten Thousand Pounds may be paid into
"the Hands of the Treasurer at or before Michaelmas 1790.

Resolved that such part of the said Report as respects the
Contracting with the said Messrs. Hattam & Co. for performing the Smiths Work
and with the said William Hopcraft< no role > for performing the Mason s Work be
received but that the consideration of the other part of the said Report be for
the present postponed and the Proposals of the said Walter Hattam and Co for
executing the Smiths Work and of the said William Hopcraft< no role > for performing the
Masons Work being also read in the following Words Vizt.

"We do hereby propose to perform all the Smiths Work at the New
"intended House of Correction for the County of Middlesex at the several prices
"hereafter mentioned the manner of Executing the Work and the Materials thereof
"are to be as mentioned and described in the Printed Particular bound up
"with the Book of Drawings and other Designs of the said House of Correction
"and to include all manner of Labour as well mentioned in the said
"Particulars or that shall and may be necessary for compleating the Smiths Work.
