It is Ordered that the said Report be and the same is hereby confirmed
And it is further Ordered That the several Demands Contained
in the said Report amounting to the Sum of £235..7s..8d be paid to the
several Persons intitled thereto

And It appearing by the Books of Account of the said
Samuel Newport< no role > verified by him on Oath that his Receipts on Account of
his office of Keeper of new Prison from the 28th. day of April 1783 to the
27th. day of April 1785 did not exceed the Sum of £550..3s..9 profit for
the said two last mentioned Years and it bring proposed, to the said Samuel
Newport to put him upon the same Footing as the Governor of the House of
Correction at Clerkenwell by making up his Income with the Salary &
Perquisites of his office a clear £300 P Ann. and the said Samuel Newport< no role >
agreeing thereto.

It is Ordered that the Sum of £49..16s..9 be paid to
the said Samuel Newport< no role > to make up his Income the Sum of £300 P Ann.
from the 28th. day of April 1783 to the 27th day of April 1785 and that the
said Samuel Newport< no role > be in future put upon the same footing as the Governor
of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell Vizt. That he shall account for all
the Sums of Money received and paid by him upon Oath and in Case there should
not annually remain in his hands a clear Sum of £300 that the deficiency
shall from time to time be made up to him out of the County Rate

And it is further Ordered That the Clerk of the peace
do Issue the proper Orders upon the Treasurer of this County for the Payment of
the said Sum of £46..16s..9 to the said Samuel Newport< no role > and also for the several
other Sums of Money mentioned in the said Report to be due to the several
Persons therein mentioned

By adjournment same day

The following Report from the Committee appointed "to Pave the
"Ground belonging to this County round the session House and also to Consider
"whether a whipping Post can be conveniently placed near the Session House or whether
"a moveable one might not be used for the purpose and whether a Way cannot be made
"for the Grand Jury to come into Court without coming in under the Stairs as they
"now do and whether better accomodation cannot be provided for the witnesses
"attending the Court and the Grand Jury and also such other matters as they
"may think necessary to be done in and about the Session house" being
laid before the Court Vizt.
