Offenders and make them more during and desparate, and being of
opinion it would contribute greatly to peace and good Order if such
Offenders who from their age and bodily strength are capable of serving
his Majesty by Sea or Land were sent to and received into such
service But as it frequently happens Offenders convicted of small
Offences and who are willing to enter into His Majestys Service
when sent by the Justices are rejected or if received escape from the
Ships or Regiments they are sent to and return to the Metropolis and
commit the most daring Felony's and all manner of Outrages.

Resolved that the Chairman of the Sessions be desired
to wait on the Right Honourable Mr Secratary Townshend to communicate
the above matters to him for his consideration and to represent to him
that the Justices of the peace being determined to do their utmost
endeavours to apprehend or cause to the apprehended all Rogues
Vagabonds and disorderly persons hope such Measures will
be taken by his Majestys Ministers as may enable them at the
General Session of the peace to be holden in December next or at any
future Session to dispose of such Offenders as shall be Incorrigible
and dangerous to the publick in such a manner as may in
future prevent them committing those Outrages and Depredations
which have of late so much alarmed and terrified this Metropolis

Resolved that the respective Justices who shall
proceed to carry the above Resolutions into Execution do on or
before the 1st. day of the next Session of the peace for this County and
so of each succeeding Session return an account of their proceedings
in the premises to the Sessions in order to their being transmitted to
one of His Majestys principal Secretaries of State by the Chairman

Ordered that the Keeper of New Prison and the
Governor of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell do attend the
Court on the County day of the next Session of the peace to be
holden for this County

Adjourned sine die.
