Which was agreed to by this Court with this addition that whenever any
General pardon shall be sued out for any persons who have obtained
Bailable Warrants the same shall be done at the Expence of the said Keeper
all which the said Richard Akerman< no role >
(being called in) was acquainted
with which he agreed to
In 1754 Mr. Richard Akerman the present Goaler
was appointed Keeper
of Newgate
and together and together with the following
Order for his appointment received the Table of fees Subjoined to the Report
in 1744 abovementioned: and since his appointment the Court of Alderman
have made no other Order respecting fees to be taken by him
Tuesday the 12th. day of March 1754 and in the Twenty
Seventh Year of the Reign of King George the Second
of Great Britain Etc.

Esquires Aldermen and Sheriffs of this City having nominated Richard
Akerman< no role > This name instance is in set 4413.
the Younger to be keeper of the Goal of Newgate during the time
of their Shrivalty He the said Richard Akerman< no role >
the Younger is by their
Court admitted Keeper of the said Goal in the room and stead of Richard
Akerman< no role >
his father who this day Surrendered the same To hold the same
during the pleasure of this Court and to be lyable to the Controul and under
the Regulation of this Court as to all fees and other Business of the said office
which the said Richard Akerman< no role >
the Younger Consenting to was Sworn
for the due Execution of the said place and also took and Subscribed
the Oaths and made and Subscribed the declaration according to the
Several Laws made for those purposes
