in and for the said County assembled,
The further Report of the Committee of
His Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the said
County appointed by an Order of Session of the
22d. day of April last for the immediate and
Effectual Repair of New Prison
and Clerkenwell
Bridewell
The said Commitee Report
That under the Powers respectively given to them by the
Orders of Court of the 22d. day of April and 27th. day of May last she
said Committee had procured Articles of Agreement to be drawn up
between Thomas Butler< no role >

Clerk of the Peace
of the said County
on the part and Behalf of the said Committee and the rest of his
Majesty's Justices of the peace in and for the said County and the
several Contractors in the last Report of this Committee mentioned
for the various and respective Works in the Repair of New Prison
which said Articles of agreement were read to and approved of by the
said Committee and were submitted to the seperate consideration of
the said Contractors and approved of by them That at a subsequent
Meeting of the said Committee when the said Contractors were summond
to Sign and Execute the said Articles of Agreement A Petition was
presented to the said Committee signed by four of the Contractors
Setting forth several Objections to the Conditions of the said Articles
of Agreement which said Petition was read and the parties
Subscribing the same being Questioned in regard to the Premises
Three of the said Petitioners waved their objections but Mr Richard
Holland Contractor for the Bricklayers work in the said repair
Still refusing to abide by his proposals under those Articles of
Agreement notwithstanding he had signed an Agreement for
Executing the same It was Resolved by the said Committee
