of the Session for the
ensuing half Year}

His Majesty's Justices of the peace of the County of Middx
now Assembled at this present Session Do elect Thomas Lane< no role >
Enquire the present Chairman to be Chairman of the Gent.
Quarter and General Session of the peace to be holden for
the Same County between Easter and Michmas now next
coming and do give Thanks to the said Chairman for his
good Services to this County in the prudent Administration
of Justices.

H. C. Clerkenwell

At this Court the Report of the Committee of His Majesty's
Justices of the peace for this County who met as Comittee.
at the House of Correction at Clerkenwell on Tuesday the 19th
of January last upon the several Matters to them referred
was deliver'd in and read (being Signed by George Errington< no role >
Benjamin Cowley< no role > and Richard Holmes< no role > Esquires who together, wth
Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esqr met on the Said Comittee.) by
which it is reported that the Said Comittee. met pursuant
to the Order, of Referrence and order'd the following repairs
to be done in the House of Correction as Soon as conveniently
might be Vizt. the Sink Stone in the Yard belonging to the
Woman's Ward to be lower'd and a small piece of the said
Yard to be paved and the rest of the Pavement there to
be layd with a proper Current that the Yard may be kept
Dry and to raise the Door & case going into the Yard and
make good the Pavement And a Pump to be fixed in the
Woman's Ward according to the estimate. The Hatch at the
Door Way of the Woman's Work room to be mended. That the Com-
mittee did not find any thing wanting in the new Room in,
the Woman's Yard except a part of the old Wall to be hired
That the Comittee observing the Roof of the Keeper's Privy
to be rotten and fall'n in ordered it to be new done and raised
higher, That the Cieling in the Keeper's Kitchen being broken down
the Comittee ordered it to be made good and several of the Sashes
being bad were ordered to be repaired at a proper, Season under
Mr.
