abt. high Cons.

It is Ordered that an Account be taken of what High
on Chief Constables within the several Hundreds and Divisions of this
County have been in their Office above the space of three years last
past And that it be recommended to the Justices of the Peace
within the several Divisions aforesaid to return to the Sessions
the names of other fit persons to serve the said Offices in their
Stead.

The Court being informed that on the Adjournmt. Day in the
Week after the last Sessions for discharging Recognizance
when few Justices were present an Application was made for
adjourning the Sessions to an Honourable Gentlemans House
in order that he might have the Oaths Administred to him on
which request an Order was made by the Court for such
Adjournmt. accordingly Now on Debate & it appearing to this
Court that no Adjournmt. of the Sessions on such an Occasion has
been ever granted but to some or one of the Royal Family when
desired or to the Lord Lieutenant or Custos Rotulorum for the
time being & that when applications was made by any other
Person for that purpose it has been always denied The Court
made the following Order.

No adjournmt. of
the Sessions for
administring the
Oaths, but only
to the Royal Family
or Custor Rotulorum.

It is Ordered that for the future on Application to have
the General Quarter Session or General Session of the
Peace for this County Adjourned to any particular house
or Place for administring the Oaths Etc to the Government
be complied with otherwise then for Administring the same
