By the Court at the Adjourned Session Thursday the
Tenth day of July 1760 .

John Daniel< no role > late Deputy Cryer of the Court of the General and General
Quater Sessions of the peace for this County having by his petition to this
Court delivered in this day prayed the Relief of this Court the same
petition was read as follows Vizt.

To the Worshiful His Majesty's Justices of the peace for the County
of Middlesex in this General Quarter Session Assembled.

The Humble Petition of John Daniel< no role >
Sheweth

That in the Sillings of the Court of Kings Bench after Michaels
Term in the Year 1715. Your petitioner (then being one of the Cryers of the said
Court) was sent for to Hicks Hall to Officiate as Cryer there and was afterwards
by the Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex Appointed Deputy Cryer
of the General Quarter & General Session of the peace for the said County that your petitioners
Continued in the said office (accept prevented by Illness on Indulged with leave
of absence by the Court untill the Year 1756. when on Account of his great age
and infirmities being near four Score of years of age he was Oblidged to quit the
Service And as he is now Quite Destitute the little support he had having been
withdrawn, Most Humbly Hopes that your Worships will think him an
object of Compassion and Intituted after Forty Years faithful Service to your
Favour and future protection, as he is Utterly Incapable of doing any thing
that can bring a Support to an Aged Wife and himself

All which is with the greatest Humility most Humbly submitted
to your Humanity & serious Consideration And your poor destitute petitioner
will as in duty Bound ever PrayJno. Daniel< no role > .

And this Court after due Consideration of the petitioners Case and being
Informed that the Support mentioned in the said petition to have been withdrawn
was a Voluntary Allowance of £20 P Annum sometime since made
him for his Assistance by Mr John White< no role > the Cryer of the Court
And it appearing to this Court that the said petitioner hath long since
been unable to Assist the said Mr White in the said Office The
Petr. was Answered and Informed from this Court that this Court
had no power to Compill Mr White to Continue payment of the
said Sum of £20 a Year or any other Sum Neither did they know of
any fand our of which they could Allow him any Yearly Sum for his
future Support.
