of lawfull Money of Great Britain which this Court doth adjudge
a reasonable Satisfaction for the Charges which the Said Parish
hath been put to on Account of the Said Ann Standfast, And that
their Receipt together with this Order or a true Copy there of Shall
be a Sufficient Discharge to the Said Treasurer for Such payment.

By adjornment on Thursday the Sixth Day of April. 1749.

concerning County Rate

A Report being made unto this Court on this Sixth day
April instant by Boulton Mainwaring< no role > , John Tall< no role > , John Lawton< no role >
and Samuel Tatem< no role > Esquires being a Quorum of the Committee
of his Majestys JusticesJusticesof the Peace of the County of
Middx in this behalf appointed by an Order of General Quarter
Sessions of the Peace for the Said County of the twelfth Day of
January 1748, By which Report they certify That in
Obedience to the Said Order they have inspected into Mr.
Higgs the Treasurer's Second Account of his Receipts and
Disbursments of the County Rate made in February Sessions
1747, And that the Committee do find that by the first account
audited January 12th. last by Merry Teshmaker Samuel
Tatem and Pierce Galliard< no role > Esquires that the Ballance in
the hands of the Said Mr. Higgs in the Account auditedin
February 23d. 1747 was £69.10s.11d. And by the deficiencys
of that Account which the Said Higgs had received and
brought into the Account audited in January last amounted
to £72.14s.0d. And the last County Rate made for £1200.
amounting in the whole to £1342.4s.10d. And that the Said
Higgs had disbursed thereout with the deficiences in that
last Account the Sum of £1000.9s.10d. And there remained in
the Said Higgs's hands the Sum of £281.15s.10d. which the Said
Higgs has brought into this Second Account now audited by the
Said Committee with the Deficienices of the Account audited
then amounting to the Sum of £307.18s.9d. And which two last
mentioned Sums making together the Sum of £589.14s.7d. which
is the Sum of Money that the Said Mr. Higgs Stands now charged
with upon account of his Receipts of the last County Rate [..]
made in February 1747. And it appears to the Said Committee
that he has paid out of the Same the Sum of £544.19s.0d. and that
there now remains in the Said Higg's hands the Sum of £44.15s.7d.
And the Committee are of Opinion that a County Rate Should
forthwith be made to answer the Ends and Proposes of the
Emergencies of this County All which the Said Committee humbly
Submitt Etc. This Court upon reading the Said Report doth ratify
and confirm the Same and the Same is hereby ratifyed and Confirmed
accordingly.
