By Adjornmt. on Thursday the 9th day of April 1741

Order for the Comittee of
Accounts to make a new
Inventory of the County
goods being in the House
of Correction at
Clerkenwell }

Whereas Henry Wallbanck< no role > Gent is elected Governor and
Keeper of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell in this
County in the place & stead of Mr. Peter Creswell< no role > deced late
Governor & Keeper of the Said House of Correction upon the
like terms the Said peter Creswell< no role > was elected, And
divers goods & utensills belonging to the Said House of
Correction being delivered to the custody of the Said Peter
Creswell after his election to be Keeper, which, he in case he
had been discharged from his office or his Executors or
Administrators after his death ought to delivered upto
Such person as this Court shall in this behalf direct, It is
Ordered by this Court that it be And It is hereby recomended
& referred unto the Committee of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of
the peace for this County (appointed to inspect & adjust the
publick Accounts of the Said County) or any three of the them
to meet together at the Dwelling House of the Said House of
Correction, And to peruse the Inventory or Account of the
goods & utensills above mentioned which were delivered
to the custody of the Said Peter Creswell< no role > , And to see if the
same are now remaining in the Said House of Correction ,
Or if any,and what part, thereof are wanting which
ought to be made good or the value thereof answered by
his Executors or Administrators, And to make a new
Inventory of the goods & utensills now belonging to this
County which are in the Said House of Correction , and
are to be delivered to the Said Henry Wallbanck< no role > the
present Keeper , who is to be responsible for the Same for
the use of this County, and to give the like Bond upon that
account and for well demeaning himself in his office
Etc as was heretofore entred into by the Said Peter
Creswell.
