next at ten of the clock in the forenoon and at Such other
times as they Shall think fit, and to inquire & inform
themselves by Such ways & means as they Shall think fit
proper of the Number both of licenced & unlicenced houses
Shops, and places for Selling Geneva and other distilled
Spirituous liquors by retail within the weekly Bills of
Mortality and parts adjacent in this County, And to
inquire into the mischeifs occasioned by the Selling of
Geneva and other distilled Spiritous liquors as
aforesaid And for the better obtaining a discovery of
what persons Sell Geneva, and other distilled Spirituous
liquors as aforesaid by retail in any houses, Shops or
places in the Several Parishes & hamlets within the weekly
Bills of Mortality and parts adjacent in this County It is
hereby recomended unto his Maties. Justices of the peace
of this County residing or acting in Holborne Division,
Finsbury Division , and the Tower Division respectively
in the Said County or any two or more of them
forthwith by their precept or warrant under their
hands & Seals to require and command the High
Constable of their Said respective Divisions immediately
to issue forth his precept to the respective petty
Constables of the Several parishes, hamlets & places in his
Division thereby requiring them forthwith personally
to inquire, See and take an account in writing of the
time Christian Names & Surnames (as farr as they are
able to obtain an Account thereof) of all Such persons
who publickly or privately as well Tradesmen as others
Sell Geneva, Brandy, or other distilled Spirituous liquors
by retail in their respective parishes, hamlets or places,
and of the Streets Lanes, Alleys & places wherein [..]
their houses Shops Shedds or chambers are Scituate,
And to deliver an account thereof in writing upon Oath
unto his Maties Justices of the peace of this County
residing or acting in Such Division to be assembled at a
petty Sessions to be by them for that purpose holden,
