Thomas Burdus< no role > Anthony Chamberlain< no role > John Martin< no role > Robert
Hinde the younger & Andrew Osborne< no role > Esqrs . Seven of his Maties
Justices of the peace for this County being a Quorum of the
Committee of Justices of the peace for the Said County, to whose
consideration the matter of the petition of Mr. John Higgs< no role >
was referred by the Court in December Sessions last he having
then Petitioned the Court praying that he might be at
Liberty to retain out of the Publick moneys in his hands
belonging to this County the Sum of thirteen pounds
five Shillings & Six pence due to him upon his Bill of
costs for busyness donedue to him upon his Billfor this
County (to witt) for making a defence as Attorney for
the Hundred of Ossulston against whom an action at Law
was brought by George Morrice< no role > for five hundred thirty
one pounds which he pretended he was robbed of at
Islington (which pretence was in great probability very
false) and for non prossing the Said action, and in & about
prosecuting Moses Peters formerly Clerk to Cliffor William
Phillipps Esqr . a Justice of the peace of this County in the Court
of Kings Bench upon an Indictment against the Said
Peters for extortion which was removed into that Court
from the Sessions by a writt of Certiorari and for two
Journeys to Istleworth and for horsshire & expences to
obtain the Sum of twelve pounds & three Shillings from
the Execrs. of John Walcott< no role > late high Constable of
Istleworth Hundred which had been received by him for
the use of this County, and which Mr. Higgs with Some
difficulty obtained, It appeareth to this Court by the Said
Report That the Said Seventh Justices of the peace had
considered of the matters in the Said petition, and of the
Said bill of costs of the Said Mr. Higgs with his vouchers for
busyness done for this County, And they do Report that the
Articles & clauses therein contained are reasonable &
