Grand Jury, who should by his Oath taken in open Court, or by
any other proper Evidence, appear in the Judgment of the
Court not worth the value of three hundred pounds, such
person should be excused or rejected, and set aside from being
a Grand Juryman of the said County: And whereas since the
making of the said Order, divers persons have been return'd
upon the pannel of the Grand Jury of this County, whom
the Opinion of this Court ought not to have been return'd
thereupon. Now to the Intent that the said rented Order
may be observed, and also that persons who Keep comon
Gaming Houses, or disorderly publick houses, may not be
streened by any Grand Juryman, from any prosecution
intended against them for the same; It is Orderly by this
Court, that the said rented Order be from henceforth well
and truly observed; and this Court doth further Order,
That the Sheriff of the County of Middlesex for the time
being, do not hereafter return to the Court of any General
Quarter General Sessions of the peace for the said County
upon the pannel of the Grand Jury, any person keeping
a Victualling house, Gaming house, or Cook's Shop, or
selling distilled strong spirituous Liquors by Retail. And
that if any such person shall hereafter be return'd upon the
pannel of the Grand Jury, he shall be discharg'd from
serving thereon, upon proof made in open Court, by his
own Oath, or other proper Evidence, of his following such
Trade or Employment, And it is further Ordered by this Court,
that this Order be forthwith printed, and a competent
Number of the printed Copies of the same transmitted to the
several high Constables, to be publish'd by them in the most
publick Manner : And that this Order be read every Sessions
immediately before the Grand Jury be sworn.

Upon Report made unto this Court (Oretenns) by Robert
Thornhill
< no role > Esqr and others of a Committee of his Maties Justices
of the peace of this County concerning the repairing of the
house of Correction at Clerkenwell in this County that
several repairs have been lately done thereunto for the
better securing and strengthening of the same and that
there are due to several Workmen hereinafter menconed
