in print or by writeing should publish any such Sale
or Lottery are made liable to the penalty of £100 & ye
persons who Bath Jontt in any money into the same
to the penalty of £20 each by the severall Acts of
parliamt. made for this purpose, This Court for
prevencon of the growing evil wch. may be occasioned
by such Lotterys & for the totall suppression
thereof Doth hereby order that the respective high
Constables of Holborne, Finsbury, the Tower, &
Kensington Divisions in this County, Doe
forthwith issue out their severall precepts to the
petty Constables within their respective Divisions
thereby requireing them imediately to make
diligent inquiry & take an accompt in writeing
of the Christian Names Surnames & Places of
aboad of all & every person & persons who
have or doe within their respective Districts
publiquely or privately exercise, keep open, show
or expose to be Plaid at, drawn at, or thrown at,
or doe draw, Play, or throwat, any such lottery
or any other lottery or Sale of Plate or Goods
in imitacon of Lotteryes either by dice, lots;
cards, balls, or any other members or figures,
or by any other way or device whatsoever,
And that the said Petty Constables doe alsoe
take an accompt in writeing of the Christian
Names Surnames & Places of a boad of all
such person & persons who have or doe within
their respective Districts sett up, or by writeing
or printing publish the setting up any such
