the Clerke of the peace for this County for a long time
after the granting thereof, and that same of them have not
yet reced them, And that severall persons who sold beer
& ale by retail after the time of the sd. generall renewing
applyed to severall Justices of the peace to obtain licences
for soe doeing, had great sumes of money demanded of
them by their Clerkes & alsoe by the Beadles of the several
parishes where they inhabite which they were forced to
pay before the obtaining thereof to the great abuse of
Justice & oppression of divers of his Maties. good subjects,
for inquireing into the truth of the sd. complaint and
red ross of the sd. abuses It is thought fit and Ordered
by this Court that it be And It is hereby recomended

Crake Esqrs. Justices of the peace for this County & such
others of his Maties. Justices of the peace as shall think
fit to be present or any three of them to be a Comittee
to inquire into the truth of the sd. complaint And It
is further Ordered by this Court that Robt. Hardisty< no role >
Gentl Deputy Clerke of the peace for this County and
alsoe George Cockayne< no role > Charles Walker< no role > John Rolfe< no role >
& Francis Lindon< no role > Gentl Clerks to Simon Harcourt< no role >
Esqr . Clerke of the peace for this County doe from time
to time attend the sd. Referrees at Such times & place
as they shall appoint, And that the sd. Mr. Hardisty
doe lay before the sd. Referrees a Register of all
the licences taken at the last generall renewing &
retorned into the Office of the sd. Clerke of the peace
and give the best accompt of he can of the time
when the old licences were brought into the Office
and when the new licences were filled up and
delivered out & to whom, And that the sd. George
Cockayne Charles Walker< no role > John Rolfe< no role > & Francis
Lindon
< no role > or such of them who attended the Justices
of the peace of this County in their Several Divisions
at the sd. renewing and took an accompt in writing
