of the Bank of England taken before
me this 2nd: day of January 1788
Who being upon Oath says that he is one of the Tellers
at the Bank of England
That on Thursday or Friday last the 27th or 28th.
day of December a person now Present who calls
himself Richard Coleman< no role >
came to his Table in
the Bank and paid him One Hundred Pounds
for which this Informant gave him a Ticket to
receive Bank Notes for the same That about half an
Hour afterwards said Coleman came to this
Informant again and paid him the further Sum
of Ninety Pounds for which this Informant gave
him a like Ticket That the said Several Sums
of One Hundred Pounds and Ninety Pounds
were paid to him in Guineas and half Guineas
by the said Coleman
