severally say that they were both present at the unloading of the said
Cottons, and that this Deponent Edward Vint did say to the said
Thomas Simons< no role >
"hear, do you take one of the Pieces" or to that effect, and
the two last named Deponents say that the said Thomas Simons< no role >
was
stopped with the same by the other Deponent Edward Longden< no role >
Mackmurdo near the fore Horse of the Team, and these Deponents John
Leeke and Edward Vint depose the same as the other Deponent Edward
Longden Mackmurdo as to the said Thomas Simson< no role >
's being taken before
the said Alderman and his being committed to Wood Street Compter
and that these Deponents John Leeke< no role >
and Edward Vint did as they
verily believe enter into Recogizances before the said Alderman to
give Evidence at the then next Sessions at the old Bailey
against the
said Thomas Simons< no role >
, but that for the Reasons before deposed by the
other Deponent Edward Longden Mackmurdo they or either of them
did not attend at the said Sessions to give such Evidence; And all
these Deponents each speaking for himself severally say that they
did not neglect to appear against and prosecute the said Thomas
Simons throught any (as they conceived) improper Favor towards
him or for any Reward or hope or promise thereof
