Master severally make Oath and first the said
Robert Studwell< no role >
for
himself saith That on or about the Ninth day of June last one
hundred and six Tons or Four thousand two hundred and Forty
Bushels of English Refined Salt were shipped on board the said
Ship or Vessel called The Nautillus at Liverpool in the County of
Lancaster
and cleared there in order to be conveyed by Sea to the
Port of London
for and on Account of the said

Owner of the said Salt And this Deponent the said Robert
Studwell further saith that on or about the firstDay of July
followingthe said Ship
or Vessel with the said Salt on board
her set Sail from Liverpool aforesaid for the said Port of London
And that on or about the Ninth day of the said Month of July last the said Ship
or Vessel with the said Salt on board her in the Course of her
Voyage to London upon the High Sea about the distance of
FourLeagues off plymouth was taken by certain persons
then being on Board a certain private Ship of War called She
Sherdain belonging to Subjects of The French King then and still
being Enemies of and at War with the King of Great Britain
And this Deponent further saith that the said Ship or Vessel
with the said Salt on board her was afterwards detained and
kept for the benefit of the Owner or Owners of the said private Ship
of War And lastly this Deponent the said

Ship or Vessel hath been paid to
