MIDDLESEX COMMITMENTS.

strong suspicion of unlawfully, riotously and tumoltuously assembling
with about too persons, at persent unknown, at his Majesty< no role > 's goal of
Newgate , breaking and entering the same, and releasing a great num-
ber of prisoners therein consined for felony and other oftences, burning
and destroying the said gaol, and on suspicion of having in his posses-
sion some of the keys of the said goal. Dated June 14, 1780.

lawful weapons. in the parish of St. Martin in the Fields , on the 6th
of June inst. before the dwelling-house of the said William Hyde< no role > , for-
cibly entering the said dwelling-house, and breaking to pieces and burn-
ing and destroying the furniture in the said dwelling-house. Dated
June 14, 1780.

68 John Gray< no role > , in New-prison , committed by G. Reid, J. Crost, and T. Par-
ker, Eqrs on oath of Thomas Learing< no role > , for unlawfully, routously, and
tumultuosly assembling with about 100 other persons, armed with
bludgeons, Etc on the 6th insant June, at the dwelling-house of the
right hon< no role > . William Earl< no role > of Mansfield , in the parish of At. George, Bloom-
bury, and pulling down, burning, and destroying the said dwelling-
house. Dated June 14, 1780.

69 George Banton< no role > , in New-prison , committed by G. Reid J. Croft, and
T. Parker, Esqr , on oath of Richard Stone< no role > and others, for feloniusly
assaulting him on the highway, in the parish of St. Andrew, Holborn ,
Middlesex , with a large iron bar, threatening to knock him done, thereby
putting him in fear, and feloniously taking from his person 6d. in silver
Dated June 14, 1780.

ful weapons, in the parish of St. George, Hanover-square , in the night
of the 7th inst. and feloniously entering the dwelling-house of the said
Ferdinand Schomberg< no role > , and burning and destroying the furniture of
the said Ferdinand, in his dwelling house. Dated June 14, 1780.

71 Thomas Taplin< no role > , in New-prison , committed by G. Reid and T. Parker
Esqr . on oath of Richard Griffiths< no role > and others, for unlawfully, riotously,
and tumultuously assembling with a number of others armed with
bludgeons and other unlawful Weapons, in the parish of St. Paul, Co-
vent-garden, on the 7th instant, to the great terror of his Majesty< no role > 's
liege subjects, and by terror and threats putting him in fear, and extort
ing and taking from severant persons in the said parish diverse sums of
money. Dated June 14, 1780.
