Memorandum


On the tenth day of January 1780 It is mutually
agreed upon by and between John Eyles< no role > Esqr . Warden of the Fleet
Prison and William Hall< no role > now of the same Place Victualler as
follow (that is to say)

The said John Eyles< no role > doth agree to let and the said William
Hall doth agree to take of the said John Eyles< no role > certain Rooms
within the said Prison at and after the rate of One hundred [..]
Pounds Per annum Payable quarterly and to comsuence from
the first day of February next ensuing with Permission to sell
Wine and other Victuals And it is also hereby declared and agreed
between the said Parties that he the said William Hall< no role > shall
not nor will on any pretence whatsoever sell give away or
have in his Possession any sort of Spirituous liquors And for
Strong Beer and Ale the said William Hall< no role > hereby agrees to
Pay to the said John Eyles< no role > every Lunar month for the quantity
of thirty six Barrels of either kind drawn in the month after the
rate of thirty Pounds Per annum And for every Barrel of each
exceeding thirty six Barrels Per month three Shillings and six
pence But if less Shall be drawn than thirty Six Barrels in
any one month it is hereby agreed that the said William Hall< no role >
Shall pay less by three Shillings and Six pence for every barrel
for every such Month as aforesaid Witness on hands the day
and Year abovesaid
