laid a
Plank from the sd. Barge to the Wharfe there one
end of which rested upon the Wharfe and the
other upon one side of the Barge; and Dept. and
sd. Bushnell were going to land from the sd. Barge
three empty lacks but were prevented by the deced.
who insisted that it was his right to land the
same as he was a Freeman and Dept. and sd
Bushnell were Foreigners;and on the deced's
that sd. Bushnell told the deced he shod. not pass
over the Road which Dept. and Bushnell had made
meaning the said Plank, yet the deced forceably
entred on the sd. Plank in order to put into the said
Barge and [..] after he had got [..] upon the Plank the
said Bushnell [..] who being at the Bottom of the sd.
Barge moved the sd. Plank [..] the same [..] and then drawing [..] by means of which the
deced fell into the sd. River and was drowned that
thethe sd.BushnellBushnell immediately on seeing
the deced fall into the River appeared to be very much
affected, and cryed out, help, help, and made a
Plunge over the side of the Barge in order to get hold of
[..] the deced but missed him. Says he was so
much out prised that he could not stay at the place
where the Accident happened, so came away, and in
about a Quarter of an Hour afterwards Dept. saw the
Body of the deced brought into the Kings Arms
