These are to Certify that the General Session of
Oyer and Terminer of our Lord the King holden for the
City of London on Monday the fourth day of December
in the 16th. Year of the reign of his present Majesty
David Roche< no role > in pursuance of his recognizance
entered unto in the Court of Kings Bench on Thursday
next after the Octave of Saint martin in the 16th Year
aforesaid appeared and pleaded Not Guilty to &
was Read upon in Indictment against him for
the wilful Murder of John Furgusson< no role > at the
Cape of Good Hope on the Coast of Africa in parts
beyond the Seas without England and was by
the Jury acquitted [..] of the Felony and
Murder charged against him by the said Indicted
and the said recognizance returned to the said
Session and filed amongst the proceedings of the
said Court was by Order of the same Court Discharged
Dated the 10th. day of February in the Year of
our Lord 1776 .
