Upon an Indictment for keeping a disorderly House
in the Parish of St. Dunstan in the West London

The above named Defendant Thomas Walker< no role > and John Shaw< no role > of the inner Temple
London Gentlemen Soliciter for the Defendant in this Prosecution severally
maketh Oath And first the Deponent Thomas Walker< no role > for himself saith that
Thomas Walker< no role > this Deponent's Son is a material Evidence for the Deponent
in the Prosecution of this Indictment And without whose Testimony this Deponent
is advised he cannot proceed to by his Traverse on this Indictment with Safity
And this Deponent also saith that the said Thomas Walker< no role > this Deponent's Son
did unexpectedly and entirely without this Deponent's Knowledge or direction Thursday last
go out or Town into the County but where or When precisely he will return
this Deponent though he has used his utmost Endeavours for that Purpose
cannot find out But this Deponent belivers that his Said Son will return to
Town in a Week or two And the other Deponent John Shaw< no role > for himself
Saith that he this Deponent is advised and doth verily beleive that the said
Thomas Walker< no role > the Defendants Son is a material Evidence for the Defendant
in this Prosecution and without whose Testimony ther
Defendant cannot proccid with Safety to try his said Traver
