maketh Oath and saith that in the Month of
November on December last his this Deponts. Servant
having Detected the abovenamed Defendant for & in stealing
a Shoulder of Mutton the property of him this Depont. He this
Deponent did thereupon enter into Recognizance to Appear
at the then next Session and prefer a Bill of Indictment and
give Evidence thereupon against the said Defendant And this
Deponent further saith that he did not (of his own know-
ledge) know any thing of the said Fact save by the relation
of his Servant it being transacted in this Deponent's absence
Which was the only reason why this Deponent did not Attend
to prosecute and give Evidence on the Indictment against
the said Deft.

in the Old Bailey
on the 26th.
