To the Right Worshipful his Majesties Justices of the Peace
for the City of London in their General Quarter Session of the
Peace Assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell in the
County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Vertue of a Pass Warrant or Order
under the hands and Seals of the Right Honourable
Francis Cokayne< no role > Esqr . and Sir Robert Ladbrooke< no role > Knt .
two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the City
of London (one being of the Quorum) bearing date the
Sixth day of August last past Charles Tooley< no role > and
Katherine< no role > his Wife were removed from the Parish of
Saint Bridget vulgarly Saint Brides London to the
said Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell as the place
of their last legal Settlement

The Petr. think themselves aggreived by the
said Order of Removal and humbly Appeal to
this Court against the Same & Pray such
Relief therein as to Your Worships shall
seem meet.

And the Appellants will Pray Etc.
