This Examinant doth voluntarily confession
thathethe latter End of September last he
did take upon him the Name of and did
personate Thomas Barker< no role >
the Brother of
Arthur Barker< no role >
and that heLate of the Lark Man of War at the Poy Office
in Broad Street
at the same time this Examt.
did produce to Mr. Steward & these Letters of Administration made to

as Brother of the said
Arthur Barker< no role >
, and that he [..] obtained
a note of the Wages of the said Arthur Barken< no role >
amounting to thirty one pounds & fifteen Shillings
and with the sd Note applyed to the sd Mr. Steward
for payment and was appointed by him to meet
him at the Navy Office
, where he reced of the
said Mr. Steward the Sum of thirty one pounds
and fifteen Shillings and Signed a Receit for
the same in the Name of Thomas Barker< no role >
Of which money, after and dedacting for the
Administration, Pound age & other Expence this
Examt. reced a fourth part, which this Examt. believes
amounted to the sum of six pounds and this Examt.
further saith that he did not know that the
Lies of Administration were fraudaleatly
obtained but was prevailed on to prison by the said Thomas Barker< no role >
