John Drinkwater< no role > of Three Crown Court Chancery Lane in the
County of Middlesex Gentleman maketh Oath that he this Deponent on
Thursday the Fourteenth day of January Instant went to the House of
Mr. Ford in Aldermanbury who as this Deponent had been Informed and
beleives was the proper officer to apply to for a Writt of Subpena for the Defendt.
Witness to give Evidence in this Cause And this Deponent then personally
sa [..] andashed the said Mr. Ford for the Witt or subpena hereto annexed and
the said Mr. Fordal the same time Treated this Deponent with a Glass of
Wine and Ordered his Clerk or Agent to make out the said Writt or Subpena
which was done in this Deponent presence and the name Man Subscribed
to it also an in this Deponents presence by Mr Francis Salt< no role > a Deputy or Agent
to the [..] Mr Ford And the said Mr Francis Salt did then subscribe the
name of Man to four printed Papers called Subpence Ticketts are of which
is hereto annex'd And this Deponent further Saith that he actually
Paid [..] said Mr Francis Salt Two shillings and Sixpence for the said
Witt or Sunpena and four pence for each of the said printed Papers or Subpena
Ticketts none of the said Printed Papers or Subpena Ticketts of the like
Hill or form being any where to be had but from the said Mr. Fords Office as
this Deponent by Inquiry has been Informed and verify believes such his
Information to be true And this Deponent was Possitively say that there
[..] subpena Ticketts made us of by him in this Cause but there he had from
the said Mr Fords office nor were there any other Ticketts made use of by any
other us [..] in this cause to the best of this Deponent knowledge and belief
