Whereas Mary Mabride< no role > Singlewoman was on or abt. the twentieth
day of November last delivered of a Male Bastard Child Since babtised
by the Name of Benjamin< no role > in the Parish of St. Bridget otherwise St Brides
London which St Male Bastard Child is already become chargeable to the
said Parish & is likely so to Continue Therefore we whose named are
hereunto set two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London & Liberties thereof (One being of the Quorum) And both of us residing
next unto the Limite where the Parish Church of the said Parish of St
Bridgetts otherwise St. Brides Standeth haveing upon the Complaint of
the Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of the Parish aforesaid taken
the Hearing & Examinacon of the Cause & Circumstances of the Premes
Do find by the Examinacon of the said Mary Macbride taken upon he
Oath that One Calderwell Needler< no role > Clerk to an Attorney is the Father
of the said Bastard Child Whereupon wee do Adjudge that he the sd.
Calderwell Needler< no role > is the reputed Father of the said Male Bastard
& wee do Order that the said Calderwell Needler shall on Sighthereof of
this our Order Payer Cause to be paid unto the Church Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St Bridget otherwise St Brides
London Some or One of them the Sum of three Pounds Eleven Shillings
of Lawfull Money of Great Britain so much being by them already
expended for & towards the Maintenence of the said Male Bastard
Child & other Incident Chargee & Expences And ago that [..] he the said
Carderwell Needler Shall on Wednesday in Every Week from & after the date
Peace of so long as the said Bastard Child shall Continue Chargeable to the
said Parish pay or Cause to be paid unto the Church Wardens or Overseers of
the Poor of the said Parish or to one of them the Same of Two Shillings
the six pence of like lawfull Money for towards the Maintenance & keeping
of the said Male Bastard Child In witness whereof wee the said Justices
have unto this Our Order Set our hands this twenty third day of
December in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and
thirty five
