The Grand Jury
of the City of London bigg leave to Observe
to this Cowl the great Number of Reggars and
Vagabond persants Infesting the Streets, as a very
great Newsence, and Vending to the disrepute of the
said City, and to the great Aneyance and hindrence
of the Inhabitants in their necessary business Conver [..]
and we humble conceive, that the Number of the Sd.
Vagrants is much increasd., by the prudent Conduct of
the several Parishes adiacest to the sd City into haveing
provided fill and convenient Workhouses for their Poor
have doore a great many of the most profligate and
diser [..] by Poor unto the sd City, to (begg not anly from
House to House, bull of all persons that are occationly
conversing in the streets the Beggars weth knewing
that the good and Wholsome Lands for the punni [..] bit
of such Vagrants are not duly assented in the said
City and the farther Observe the great Number a Plaggs.
Chilldren that are a Loytering & pilfering abt. the Streets and
Especialy upon the Warfs & keys, to be a great Nusanes
and disgrace tot eh City, and are frequentty seen to
assemble and lye together whole Nights upon Shap
bulks. &. a [..] the doors of empty Houses, wch poor Children
not being disturbd. or Enterupted in this the bog [..] ing,
of their Wicked ness do daily increase in Vice and become
habitnaly hard end in Notouis practises, to the great
dischonour of the City and the Manafest dangent prisudi [..]
both of the Sims and fortunes of the Citizans, att wch wee
humbly recomend to this Honourable Court, that they
will give such directices for the due excention of the Laws
as in their great Widom and difrations shall be thought
