Servant to Joseph Markrell< no role > a Poulten
in Newgate Markett London taken this
Fourth Day of Feburary 1731

Who ou his Oath saith that on the twenty Eighth Day of the
Month of January last Two persons unknown to this
Examinant made applycaction to him to buy some version [..]
they haveing some to Dispose of, That one of the said
persons was dressed in a saylors habbit & the other
was Dressed in Frock like a Butcher with a great
Coate over it Whereupon this Examinant went along with
the said Persons to the Cross Reys [..] Inn in Barbakin
where he was carryed up a Ladder into a Hay loft at the
Upper end of the Yard of the said Inn by the person in the frock where they showed unto
this [..] Examinant [..] two Deer hanging up and
Flood haveing us Shynn on and Offered the same to
sale at the lowest price to this Examinat at Forty
Shillings which no 2 being agreable to this Examinants
prise offered to the said Person he did not buy them And
this Examinant further saith That at the same time he
this Examinant observed two more Door lying in the said Loft covered
over with Jacks and appeared to have there Shynns on
and that there was also hanging in the sd Loft Hotts or Toyles
That after this Examinant & the sd Person whth the Frock
on went out of the said Hay loft they went into a
publickRoom in the said Inn where they found the
