Whereas at the sessions of peace held in & for this City at the Guildhall London by Adjournmt on Wednesday ye 13th dayon
Monday the 4thof December last the Several appeals of the Compa of Glovers
London and also of Mordecai Knight< no role > & Wm Weeks< no role > othersInhabitants in the Pish of St
Gyles without Cripplegate in London (Exhibited to this Court at the Quarter
Sesions held in for this Cityinon the 10th of [..] July last prayingfor Releif uponto be releived from the poore
Rates of the sd Pish by which theyarewere aggreived being over rated as they
there in alledged)and the sd Matters of were Complaint being now Referredwere by thatthis
Courttogether(with the Concent of the Severall Appellants & Churchwardens
& Overseers of the poor of thesdsaid parish)of St Gyles without Cripplegate
aforesdreferred unto the Right Honoble Sr William Stewart< no role > Knt Lord Mayor
of this City & Robt Baylis< no role > Esqr one of the Aldermen of the sd City to
hear the said Appellants & Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the
sd Parishof St Gyles without Cripplegate aforesd in Order to make a
finall End of all matters in Difference between the sd Appellans &
Churchwardens & Overseers aforesd if the could on or before the 8th Day of January
January instant& make their report to this Court what they could do in the PrmissesAnd the report of the sd Lord Mayor & Alderman Baylis

thereinRead It is Ordered by this Court that the sd Compa of Glovers
London be releived (upon their sd. Severallsd sevallin Manner Following vizt.to this Court According to the
Report of the sd Ld Mayor & Aldran Baylis) (To will)from the payment
of 30syearlyto each Rate (with which they are Charged in the [..] sd several poores ratesof
the sd Parish of St Gyles without Cripplegate in Londonfor the years
1720 & 1721) unto the payment of xvijs: vjd only to each Ratetowards the releif of the
poor there for the year 1720 and also unto the payment of xvijs: vjd only forseventeen shillings & six pence
the year 1721And that the sd Mordecai Knight be Releived from the
payment of xiijs to each rate as charged in the sd severall Ratesyearlyfor the sd two years 1720 & 1721
