that whilst they were at Tillbury the said Cooper
went to get a boat to carry them to france Ats
own boat (he saying) not being big enough
and afterwards the said Cooper returned and
told this Examinant the said Cooper returned and
told this Examinant that he would not get
another boat whereupon he landed them some
small distance from Gravesend and then left
them and this Examinantonfurther Confesseth
That when he was nearat Gravesend at the place where they landed
parcell of the said mony to George Crooke< no role > who
put the same into a handkercheif and some other
part of the same mony to Durrant Enstace
who put the same in a Glove, And afterwards
they all took horse and then went for dover in
order to goe [..] for France. And this Examinant
further confesseth that the Nose following in
there words vizt Mr John Mount< no role > , April 13: 1720
Please to pay to Mess at will hamond or bea
Eight hundred forty one pound 16/8 for y27
G Davis £841:16:8 was written with
his own hand, and also one other note
following in these words Vizt Die to Mess
Turner Caswall and Co or be a Nine hundred
Sevinty pound 10/4s For Miss at will Hamond
Thom Gilder £970:10:4 was likewise written
with his own hand
