Whereas Complaint hath been made this day unto us
two of her Majties: Justices of the peace for the
City of London and Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by the Church wardens & overseers of the poor
of the parish of St. Bridget als St. Brides London
that Elizabeth Harper< no role > the widow of Thomas
Harper
< no role > with Martha< no role > aged 14 years, Charles< no role > aged 4
years, Israel aged< no role > 9 years Thomas< no role > aged four years
George< no role > aged 5 months her Children are come lately
in the said parish and hath not given notice in writeing
to the Church wardens and Overseers of the poor or to any
one of them of the number of her family and place of
a Code as the Law directs or by any means gained to legall
Settlemt. in the said parish And it appearing unto us the
Said Justices that they are likely to become Chargeable
unto the said parish And whereas, it appears unto us by
the Examinacon on Oath of the said Elizabeth Harper< no role >
that her Said husband Served an apprenticeship by
indenture wth. Thomas Browne< no role > in Plumbtree Court
weaver in the parish of St. Andrew Holbourn in the City of
London wch. is about 17 years agoe and noe Subsequent
Settlement appearing unto us Wee doe therefore deem
and adjudge that the said parish of St. Andrew Holbourn
is the last legall Settlement of the said Elizabeth Harper< no role >
and her five Children above named.

These are therefore in her Majties: Name to
will and require you the Church wardens of St. Bridget
als St. Brides aforesd. or some or one of you forthwith
to remove pass & Convey the said Elizabeth Harper< no role >
and her five Children abovenamed from and out of your
parish unto the parish of St. Andrew Holbourn aforesd. and then
leave wth. the Church wardens and overseers of the poor there
or some or one of them who are hereby required to receive and
provide for them According to Law and this shall be your warrt
Given under our hands & seals this 23o die Octobris Ano Dui
1718

parishes of St. Bridget als St. Brides London & St. Andrew Holbourn
