Ward being on his Maties behalfe on Oath doth Say
that last night ye 18th: Instant between ye hours of
11 & 12 of the Clock being on his Walk in Thames the
near the Customhouse mett wth. Francis Child< no role > ye Prison
here present & the sd: Child asked this informt. to drink
wch. being refused & then the sd. Child told this Informt.
yt if he wanted Tabacco he would help him to as
much as he would from on board of ship & the
the sd. Prisonr. went off and this Informt. Saith yt
between one & two of ye Clock this Morning he saw
the sd. Child this Prisoner upon a Painthouse goe into
a Warehouse near the Customhouse by ye Whitehorse
one Story high and this Informt. Saith yt he Saw the
sd. Prisonr. take a quantity of Tabacco out of a legs
head cask & put it into a bag yt was made fast
without the Window upon yr this Informt. called
James Pinfold< no role > another Watchman to his Assistance
who went wth. the Informt. into ye Warehouse yard
and this Informt. heard Some person leap or sall
downe & Imediately after he found the sd.
Prisonr in ye. Warehouse yard or Passage and farther
this Informt. doth not Say.
