Wee whose names are hereunto subscribed being the Grand Jury for the sd City for the above sd Sessions
being deeply sensible of the great and mainfold enermities disordrs: and inconveniences hereafter mencond to the
Dishonr: of Almighty God, the prejudice of their Maties: and disturbance of their Governmt: Doc humbly Prsent to ye consideracon of
this Honoble: Court ye greivances following (humbly desiring ye same may be redressed as this Honoble: Court shall think fit to
Order and Direct Viz.

Impris Wee prsent yt notwithstanding ye many Acts of Parliamt: and Sundry Orders made by this Honoble: Bench for ye due
Observacon of the Lords day, and for prventing the prophanacon thereof Yett through ye neglect of ye Severall Church:Wardens
And Constables of this City & Libtyes thereof ye Sabbath day is extremely prophaned, by their Suffering Psons of Leu'd and
Vicious lives so Drinke, and Tipple at Ale houses Coffee houses, and Taverns , on ye sd Day, without inflicting ye punishmts:
by the sd Acts provided.

Item yt notwithstanding an order made by the Right Honoble: ye Lord Mayor: and Court of Aldn: of this City, for prventing
Laying of Wagers, and Entering into Polices of Insurance relating to the takeing or surendring any Cities Townes, or Forts
in the Possession of their Maties: or their Allyes, Yet then are Severall Offices publickly kept near ye Royall Exce: viz Tippetts,
Oneby's Ruthland's and Povey's to which many disaffected persons to ye Governmt: doe resort to Lay: Wagers and Enter into Policies
contrary to ye Ordr: aferesd To the great Prjudices of their Maties: Governmt: and Duscouragemt: of Many of their most Leyall Subjects.

Item Wee doe prsent that ye Severall Lotteries and Gaming houses kept in this City and Libties thereof, and Especially the Royalls
Oake Lottery are not only prejudiciall and destructive to the youth and Apprentices of this City, but often also to their
Rotacons, and Mastrs: their moneys, and Estates being by them there lost, Emberled and consum'd and themselves afterwards forc'd
to take ill courses to maintain their Riot and Idleness

Item Wee doe prsent that there are Severall Taverns and other publick houses who doe entertain, Lend and disolute people
who Pick up one another in the Streets, and carry them to these places, where they are entertain'd and concealed in theire
debanchery and Lendnes, particularly the Bull Head Tavern and the Sheapherd Taverne in Cheaside , And the Green:Dragon
Tavern in Fleetstreet and Ellis Coffee house in the Old-Jury wth: many others.
