Anne Chappell< no role > of Waltham Stoe in the County of
Essex widow , maketh Oath, That she being a freind
to Edward Jern< no role > now a Prisoner in Newgate , and being
desireouse to have him Peayled out, she Imployed on
Roger Tilley< no role > a Solissiter . to undr. take the buisness, who
accordingly did, but this Deponent askeing him how
the should gett Prayle, he told her that she night
gett Sham Bayle for 5s: a peece, and that he thought
he could gett her on, but did not, And this, Deponent
further Sayes that she gave the said Mr. Tilley three
and Fifty Shillings to gett the said Edward Jevon< no role > Peayled
but the said Mr.Tilley has Defrauded thissaidDepont
of the said money and the said Jevon still lyes in a
Custody

came with this depont. to Bayle the said Jevon, the said
Mr.Tilley did declard his name to be Anthony Johnson< no role >
and that he lived in St. James and was a Substantill
man and a Tobacowness, whereas inbruth his Name
was Anthony Prise< no role > and lived in Ye Minories , and was
Shaw Bayel
