The Information of Ann Fox< no role > of Wife of Patrick Fox< no role >
of No 8 Middlesex Court Drury Lane Smith, and
Patrick Leeson< no role > of No 23 little Wild Street Smith
taken on Oath before me this 6th. day of November
1789.

Who being on Oath severally say, and first the said Ann
Fox
< no role > for herself says, that this Evening about half past seven
o Clock, she heard a noise in the Yard belonging to her house as
also the back Window of her bed Room being lifted up which
is on the Ground floor, upon hearing of which Informant got
up and went to the Yard door in the Passage where she
met the two Prisoners now present who call themselves
Thomas Groves< no role > and Thomas Carroll< no role > , that Informant asked
said two Persons what they did there, when they Replied they
wanted one Jones a Stay Maker, Informant then said to
them how came you in the Yard to enquire for Jones; that
Suspecting themto beshe had them [..] secured, And further
says that the pair of Shoes now produced by the said
Patrick Leeson< no role > are her Property and that she had put them
on a Shelf near the Window in her said Bed Room And the
said John Leeson< no role > for himself says that he this Evening found
one of said Shoes in the Dust hole [..] in the Yard of said
Fox's house And that the other Shoe he found at the bottom
of the Kitchen Stairs of said House.
