got a Cloth here he asked what sort of a Cloth to wch.
the Prisoner Henry Holmes< no role > immediately replyed it
makes no Odds to you for it is my Property he then
asked the Prisoner how he came by it to wch. he answered
I brought it with me to wrap about me because I am
lock [..] out any Lodging he then asked the Prisoner
where he lodged to wch. he answered at Mr. Rileys in
Church Lane Don't you know me Upon wch. one Long
a Water man to the Coaches came up & said take that
Man meaning the Prisoner into Custody for I know
from whom that Cloth was theived upon wch. he then
took the Prisoner into Custody and conveyed him to
the Watch House

Thomas Long< no role > for himself saith that he is a
Waterman belonging to the Coaches at the Golden Lyon
in Dean Street Soho that on Thursday the 29th. of October
last about two o Clock in the Morning he was in the
Tap room belongg. to his Masters House & Wm. Osborne< no role >
a Coachman came in asked him if he had seen any
Person abt. the Rank he replyed no but that Louse
meaning the Prisoner Henry Holmes< no role > had been there
to which Wm. Osborne said I have been spoke to
for my Hammer Cloth that he the sd. Thomas Long< no role > was
going to lodge in Church Lane St. Giles and met two
Watchmen in Dyott Street with a Hammer Cloth upon
which he said I know who that Hammer Cloth
