Running from thence or the adjoining house, across said Street
towards Saville Passage, that he pursued said man into Saville
Passage, at the Corner of which he met two Young Men Coming
out, whom he asked it they had met a Man running Past
them, when they turning round, shewed said Man to him as
he was Running, that Informant desired them to Pursue him,
telling them that they could Run faster than him, that said
Young Men accordingly Pursued said Man, and at the End
of Saville Passage in Saville Row, they Secured him, And
upon this Informants Coming up to their Assistance, found in
their Custody the said Samuel Gilbert< no role > , that said Gilbert at
this time said he had come from a Club at the Queenshead
in High Street Mary bone , that Informant took said Gilbert
to Mr Bamfords house, and from thence with the Assistance of
other Watchman he took said Gilbert to the Watch house in Mount
Street , and in their way thither, said Gilbert made a Jump and
attempted to get from them, but this Informant having fast
hold of him prevented him, And the said Charles Hay< no role > for himself
says, that he is a Watchman in Madddox Street, and upon hearting
the Rattle he Ran into Conduit Street , where he saw a Man
Running across, apparently from the Empty house adjoining said
Mr Bamfords towards Saville Passage, that Informant did not
pursue said Man, but remainedbefore the houseexpecting
others to Come, out, that he then went into the Empty house, and
found the Seven Pick Lock Heys [..] now produced laying behind the
door, And the said William Cowdell< no role > for himself says, that near,
the back door of the Empty house upon a Back Window, he found
the Iron Crow now produced, and the Socket Key he found
