Depositions taken on View of the Body of
Edwin Swain< no role > as the Sign of the Black
Horse in the Parish of Enfield in the County
of Middlesex the 7th day of May 1789
before Edward Walter< no role > one of his Majestys
Coroners for the said County

John Sherwin< no role > of Endfield Surgeon being Swon
saith That on Wednesday the 6t. instant Deponent
Viewed the Body of the deceased Edwin Swain
which was then laying in a Stable near Endfield Highway that he cannot
take upon himself to say which of the Blows
described ley the witness Michael Badder< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. 10
have been received by the deceased was the
Cause of his Death nor doth he think it very probable
that it could be discovered was he owned
as this Deponent from every Circumstance
has reason to believe & that the only Make it
Violence [..] Deponent observed was a Brunie
upon the left Cheep Bone and some Blood
[..] had eosed [..] from his Noshils which most
probably was occasioned by a Blow
