Labours
maketh Oath and
Saith that he prosecuted the above named
prisoner for Stealing a Great Coat and
that with a View to pursure such his
prosecution with Effect he did Yesterday
Attend in the Old Bailey
and at this Hammer able
Court and being illiterate and not able
to read he enquired if Joseph Owen< no role >
the
prisoner was named in the List for Trial
and was informed that he was not
Wherefore this Deponent Concluding that
the said prisoner would not be tried until
this day went away home being only
a Labourer
and Servants And returned this
Morning to Complete his prosecution
but found that the prisoner was
Acquitted in this Deponents Absence
