Garden taken before me this 16th. day of March
1787

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said John Clark< no role >
says, that this afternoon about five o'Clock, he went to the
House of Sarah Hinton< no role > now present in Gloucester Court
Saint James's That he went into a Vault under said
House before the Door of Which, a coarse Cloth was
hangingThat he pulled said Cloth on one side
and found three Persons now present who call themselves
George Kitch< no role > , Richard Packer< no role > and Sarah
Robinson
< no role > That said Robinson was sitting in a
hole at said Press, feeding the did, having at that
time a finger Stall on for the said PurposeThat
there were dies fixed in the said Press, a blank between
them and a Quantity of Counterfeit Half pence and
Blanks now produced together with divers others
lying around said Press and a Candle burning
with which they were at WorkAnd that the said
Packer was sitting in said Vault at Work with an
edging Tool for the purpose of edging blank pieces
of Copper for making counterfiet Half penceThat a
Quantity of blank pieces of Copper was lying before
said Packer and another Candle burning which
he knocked out on going into said VaultAnd
further says that the said Kitch was at this time
without either Shirt Coat or Waistcoat the same
