The Information of John Humphrys< no role > taken
on Oath the fifth day of April 1786 before
me one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex

Who on his Oath Saith That on the first day of April
Instant there was Feloniously stolen and carried from
his shop in Holywell Street in the Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch (Middlesex ) Nine pair of Mens worsted
Stockings the property of himself and Griffith Humphrys< no role >
his Copartner And that Mary Johnson< no role > and Elizabeth
Cole
< no role > Alias Vickery< no role > having just before been into the Shop
to buy and did buy One Yard and a quarter of Irish
Cloth, and immediately after they left the Shop This Informant
missed the Stockings, and he suspecting they had got
them he ran into the Street and there saw the
said Mary Johnson< no role > and Elizabeth Cole< no role > otherwise Vickery
and he immediately searched them and found on the
said [..] Elizabeth Cole< no role > otherwise Vickery the Nine pair
of Stockings now produced by him the property of himself
and the said Griffith Humphrys< no role > (which were concealed
under her Pettycoates) which she on Searching dropt
to the Ground
