The several Informations of Sarah Turner< no role > John
Dawe
< no role > and Thomas Welch< no role > taken the 18th. day of
February 1786

Who upon their Oaths severally say and first the said
Sarah Turner< no role > for herself Saith That She is Servant to Mr.
John Beuquet< no role > of Queen Street Holborn Apothecary That
the Wearing Apparell Linnen and Things now produced were
hung up to dry in the Dining room of the Dwelling House of
the said John Beuquet< no role > and were all there between 7 and 8
o Clock last Night and the Sash Window was up That same
part thereof are her property and some the property of the
said John Beuquet That about the hour of half past
8. o Clock last she was alarmed with the Cry of Stop Thief and
some person brought into her Masters House some part
of the said property and upon going up Stairs she found That
the said Linnen and Things had been Stolen.

And this Informant John Dawe< no role > for himself Saith
That about the hour of half past 8 o Clock last Night he
was informed That some Fellows had been burking about
the House of Mr. Benquet all the Evening which Caused him
to go to his own door to Observe if he could see any person
when he saw A Man looking up at the Window of Mr.
Bouquets House and immediately saw a Bundle Thrown
from out of such Window which such Man Caught in his
Arms and this Informant called out Stop Thief which the
Man drop'd the Bundle and made his Escape That he secured
some part of the above property and came back to Mr. Beuquet
House when he saw a Man now in Custody who says his
Name is Patrick Riley< no role > Jump from out of the front room
of the said House into the Street and ran away but was
immediately Secured That he was not out of Light from the
time of his Jumping out of the Window to the time of his Apprehensive

And this Informant Thos: Welch< no role > for himself Saith
That he is a Watchman That about the hour of half East
8 o Clock as aforesaid as he was comming down Queen Street he heard the
Cry of Stop Thief when he Stopped the said Patrick Riley< no role > who
was then running very fast and secured him
