The Examination and Voluntary Confession
of John Farrell< no role > taken before me John Staples< no role >
Esquire one of His Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the said County the
10th day of January 1786 .

Who saith that last Night between the Hours of Ten
and Eleven being then in Company with George
Lions
< no role > Thomas Hopkins< no role > and John Thomas< no role > at the Sign
of the Blackeney head in Cable Street in the Parish
of Saint Mary White Chapel in the said County
Thomas Bowers< no role > of the same place came into the said
House with a Woman and called for some Liquor
and also gave this Examinant a pot of Beer
Saith it was proposed by George Lions for some
of them to go & tell The Wife of the said Thomas
Bowers
< no role > that he was in Company with a Woman
at the said Public House that it would be
a piece of fun and in the mean time they could
Rob Bowers< no role > 's house (meaning the said George
Lions him this Examinant and the said Thomas
Hopkins
< no role > and John Thomas< no role > ) Saith that [..]
the said George Lions< no role > and Thomas Hopkins< no role >
went and told Mrs Bowers accordingly who
came to her husband in about three or four
Minutes at the said Public House

Saith That he this Examinant the said George Lions
Thomas Hopkins< no role > and John Thomas< no role > went to the
Back Yard of the House belonging to the said
Thomas Bowers< no role > when the said George Lions
